Target Interventions to control HIV/AIDS among 2500 sex workers:

In the year 2007 Mass Education has been identified 2500 sex workers both Female and Male Sex workers in its project area and tried to promote awareness on HIV/AIDs, STIs (Sexually Transmitted Infections)and T.B, aiming at to bring behavioural changes among these people. We have been organizing clinics in PPP (Public Private Partnership) model in collaboration with Government Primary Health Centres in its respective project mandals to treat STIs among the focussed community, i.e. sex workers by providing required medicine to them. PPP model clinics would help the community to come out of the social stigma facing by them. More over the community will continue to receive the clinical services from the Government Hospitals when we phased out from the project.

The Organization has also assisted these sex workers to form into CBOs both at field as well as at district level to address the issues related to them. Mass Education would capacitate these CBOs to address their issues by lobbying with District and State level Administration.
